Anyone got and used the new vango enclosed extension?  I will be especially interested if you have an orchy 600.  How does it look and function?  Wondering whether its worth the money.

Hi

Just come back from Killin, Scotland and loved having the extension - not enclosed one but it certainly kept the rain away from the inside of the tent when we needed to escape in the middle of a downpour - there were many of these! field was a mud bath after 4 days.  Picture is on tent showcase for Vango Orchy 600.  Don't know how to get pics on here yet!!!

Like the others I can't speak for the new enclosed extension but I have experienced the large sun canopy (essentially the same as the new extension but without the door) on an Orchy 500.

It is, IMHO, an all-but essential addition to the Orchy in our climate; it enables ease of movement in and out of the tent in rain without getting the SIG wet and provides shelter for eating under, etc.

The new extension will do everything that the large sun canopy does but better, partly because it will be less vulnerable in windy conditions.

I'm pretty annoyed coz we bought the large one last year and now they've brought out one with a DOOR!!! I guess we've saved some money though coz the new one will be more expensive...

Ive just bought the Gelert extension with door and have been told its way better than the Vango and alot less money...  

Kate w, is the Kura a tunnel, and does it look any think like my tent in my pictures.. If so it should fit.. Sorry i cant be anymore help than that..

 

Actually now ive had a look at your tent i dont think the canopies im on about will fit...

Someone with the answer will be along shortly..

Does any one know if this will fit the Idaho 600? have ben looking at this, and think it will be a great advantage having it.

Hi Chris

Have you had any luck with trying to get an extension or canopy for the Idaho 600?  I've also got this tent and been looking at getting an extension too but not sure whether it will fit?
