I have just ordered the Eagle 6 for £199 - a bargain I thought!

It is for me and hubby. I plan to cook in the canopy bit at the front.

Does anyone own this tent? Is is OK? Do you have any tips for pitching?

I am so excited about our first trip this year now....

Hiya. We tested ours over Easter and it was brilliant with no issues with the tent.

Pitching tips are to peg out the base of the main tent then starting at the back put the poles. When all the poles are up then peg out the guy ropes. It was only our 2nd time of pitching it and we had it done in less than half an hour.

Cooking in the porch is fine, we did it. When we have unpacked we will put up pics of the tent in use.

Glad you all enjoyed your Eagle 6. I've had mine since February and only managed a trial pitch but I'm soooo anxcious to get away properly. I recommended this one to CLEVEAMB who posts on this site and he bought one at UBC so I hope he lets us all know what he thinks. I was at UBC yesterday (just to have another look at the tent you understand) & got talking to another family who said it was just what they were looking for and I recommended this site so here's hoping we get more newbies. Lets hope the weather forcast changes for next weekend as at the moment it is wall to wall rain. This weekend would be ok but I'm off to a wedding in Northern Ireland and hubby wouldn't let me take tent.
