We are having our first trip on the 25th April. Just a local site to try out our tent and make sure that we have everything, timings etc.
We have a colemans waterfall 5 and was wondering if anyone has any good tips on how to put it up. We have instructions but as with anything no idea how good these are going to be.

An idea, which i usually try,is pop to youtube, and type in: coleman tent.Somewhere, someone may have uploaded a video of a tent similar to your own,and videoed it being put up and taken down.A lot of people film themselves putting up and taking down tents, then putting the video on youtube.

My Tents:
Eureka K2 XT
Terra Nova Solar 2
Outwell Jersey S Pop Up Tent
Hennessy Hammock Explorer Deluxe.
We are so jealous, we are still gathering our equipment, We bought a monty 6 off here second hand, what a steel!! Likewise we searched youtube, also went to official outwell site and downloaded the PDF from them.. Perhaps you can do the same with coleman.
------------- Its not your job that counts but what you do in your spare time!!
Hi there yorkshirerose, hope you don't mind me asking, but how did you get on with the Coleman Waterfall 5? Do you like it? Would you recommend this tent?
I'm thinking of buying one and it looks good from what i've seen.
Thanks in advance.

I'm affraid Coleman don't do videos themselves. You might find a homebrew video on net . However, it is one of the simpler designs, a hybrid . I believe there are only four poles. Build the living area first, which is a dome construction, and should be no more than inserting the two poles from corner to corner . That leaves the bedroom . That simply is two poles inserted and then pulled out till the shape is formed. Then peg out the rear bedroom corners .Keep looking at the groundsheet untill square and flat , then peg out remaining two corners. Peg out guys and any remaining points . The poles may insert into eyelets or ring and pin fixings , which may have tension straps fixed to them . These need to be slackened off before fixing poles , then tightened.
