Any opinions/recommendations on the difference between the utah and tigris and which is a better buy- have seen them for similar prices. Planning on using them generally for long weekends. My camping experience has often been true british wet and windy weather so any experience on how they fair in such conditions?
Also, anyone know why the Utah has been discontinued?
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!!
The Outwell *might* take slightly longer to put up. Maybe only by a few minutes though.
The Tigris is possibly a good option as it has TBS 11 (to help in windy weather), a small canopy over the door is handy also and being a "classic" tunnel tent design, it lends itself to fast pitching and striking of pitch.
All above is only my own opinion, wait for other comments to come along too!

I believe the Tigris is available from £235. For a package with fitted groundsheet and carpet , £289. Can not remember where exactly , but Aunty Google will help.
The Tigris is going to be very popular this year !!!
I have bought the Tigris 800 + footprint + carpet for £289 from www.camping-intl.com. Not put mine up yet but have found rave reviews of it everywhere!!! Just be careful if you want to buy an extention lots of conflicting advice out there look on the forums on here for the most help! Good luck

Not having a sig is not really a problem , it saves a bit of time , and at best is more impervious to the elements and our six legged friends . A separate ground sheet can allow more air movement , so better for camping in hotter weather , and drying condensation . The Utah looks a great tent at the price point , and lets face it , there should be enough hands around to make light of pitching .
I have the Tigris 800 and love it... but that said I haven't seen the Utah. I bought the Tigris package from Camping international with footprint and carpet for £289 and I love it! It takes us about 30-45 minutes to put up (not including all the bits and bobs inside) but there are so many tents out there I don't know how we ever chose ( we went to the display at camping intl, Horsham) They now have the canopy on the side of it on display, which looks great. Good luck with your choice (ps if you buy the Tigris...watch the dvd will save you a bit of time!)
We have just got the tigris 800, footprint and carpet from Highbridge, definately getting the canopy seen it complete in ABC (although I would never ever but from there) can't wait to try this tent out, we have been looking for months and this tent has everythinig we were looking for!!
Will be test driving at Fforest fields in June
