Hello Steve and welcome.....sort of. A member since 2004, two posts and yet to buy your first tent.
Well, for six I would suggest at least an eight-berth tent and for ease of pitching you probably want a fibreglass-pole tunnel tent.
You don't mention a budget but many tent manufacturers produce tents like this. In some respects the Vangos aree your best bet as they have something called Tension Band System (TBS) which lends what many consider to be an inherrently vulnerable design some extra stability. So have a look at the Vango Tigris 800 and Kura 800DLX. But Khyam and many others do similar tents.
I would recommend one that you can stand upright in all the way through, we had a dome tent and the bedroom areas were back breaking. We purchased a Khyam Indiannna 8 which fitted our needs perfectly (2A & 3C), but have now upgraded to a folding camper. There are a number of tents in different makes similar to the Indianna 8 that also have sewn in groundsheet (personally I don't like SIGS from what I have seen of a lot of them they can be a trip hazzard on the entrance doors), Khyams one is the Ontario 8, but I understand from reading other messages, they no longer do the 3 bedroom version just two big bedrooms that can be divived by a curtain.
Happy tent hunting.

We have the Khyam Ontario 8 which is a fabulous tent. 2009 model has 2x 4 berth bedrooms which can be divided with a curtain into 2+2 berths.
Ours is a 2007 which has 3 seperate bedroom pods - 4+2+2 which suited us perfectly (we are 2 adults, 4 kids and a loopy dog) 2008 models have this layout too.
We paid £189 for ours and got the footprint groundsheet thrown in for free.
