Was just wondering if anyone had any of their own pics of this year's Vango Amazon (600 or 800).  Seriously considering this tent for my next and can only find pictures of the outside but would really like to see what it looks like from the inside. (I''m a woman  - it's my prerogative!!)  My local camping shop has a few Vangos pitched and on display - just not the one I want to see - bummer!!  Would really like to see how pretty it looks......

Hi Janie,

We've got the 2008 Amazon 800...which I think it practically the same as the 2009 - I've posted a couple of sets of photos before:

Here (Photos at the bottom!)

And here

I've got a few more of the insides if you want me to send them to you?

Regards

Rich

Thanks Rich, tent looks great, loads of room, think I've made my mind up now - just got to find the cash!  How long does it take to pitch roughly?  Would love to see any more pics you have....

Thanks again

Janie

Hi Janie,

Pitching takes a while! I'd say more than an hour the first time, now down to 40 mins with 2 people...but you do get quicker the more times you do it! I'd recommend a footprint groundsheet to go with it as well, makes the difference to keeping the tent clean which is a blessing when getting packed away.

We've also got the Vango carpet, which as lots of people have commented is very, very fragile. We wore a hole in it the very first time we used it....however I think the 2009 carpets are different, might be worth asking if anyone has a newer one. Even being fragile, it does make a difference to the feel of a tent.

The other thing I remembered about one of my other posts was just how big the beast was when packed away...you need a good sized car to get it in (this is just the tent and not the footprint or carpet!):

I've sent some more picture links to your email address.

Rich
