I guess you would need the heights/pole/joint angles to be a close match, if you didnt want it to look like a obvious 'add-on'. Plus, how it attaches to the main tent would have to be a decent fit as well.

We have a Vermont L on which we use the Montana 6 front extension. It works absolutely no problem. There are a couple of attachment straps that don't attach perfectly due to a sightly different angle on the front poles of the Vermont, but there's so much scope for adjustment on the attachment straps on the Montana front extension that it isn't a problem - you get there in the end.
It makes a real difference on the front of the Vermont and I wouldn't be without it now.
Basically the said it should fit as measurements were the same - however they would not say yes as outwell would surely advertise the fact it fits other models if it did fit!
We've been thinking about it, does make the tent extra long but so much better as the front door is a pain in bad weather, cheapest I've senn is 109.99 plus postage on ebay - anybody seen anything cheaper?
The poles on the Monty are all vertical, the poles on the Vermont lean forwards at the top, the clips will be Ok on the bottom but the fabric will be loose where the top/middle clips are

Not true re; loose fabric at the top. The straps are adjustable and can be lengthened or shortened as required. Fabric at the top is as it should be as it attached to the 2nd pole in which is vertical as on the Monty - it is only the very front pole which is sloped on the Vermont and that is not really a factor. As I said in the post above, the fit on the bottom strap is not 100% perfect but it is 95% and it works as it should.
I would say go for it, we have been happy with ours.

It was me who said it fitted as we had one on our Vermont L, good fit but the side canopy is another story...........

To date we haven't had to pay more but we have only used it at two sites. However, it's worth noting that the combined length, taking in the overlap, is about 9.0m - perhaps a bit more. We are going to a C&CC site in May and they told us that since the combined size of the tent was less than 5m wide and 9M in length that it fit on a standard pitch which surprised me but there you go!
