I ordered this last Thursday from Allweathers and it arrived today, never used them before so impressed with that so far.
I took the tent straight out to the paddock to put it up. The bag is an interesting design, 3 sections, one for the tent, poles and bedroom, not sure if this is a new thing or normal for Vango tents? For anyone wondering if this is worth the extra money over the icarus the answer is absolutely yes. The poles are sturdier and the overall quality and feel of the tent is better. Downside is there are only 2 doors over the icarus's 3 but it's not the end of the world and prevents the dogs from running through at 100mph, they are much slower going from side to front. The pitching time says 20 minutes which I think is with 2 people doing it but it still only took me 35 minutes on my own to put it up and peg it out. Not sure what it would be like when it was windy though. The bedroom divider is not much use really but to be honest I can't imagine anyone buying this for 4 people to actually use. It is a good sized tent for 2 people or for me and my three muttleys. I found one site that said the king poles came with it but there is no mention of them on the vango site and nothing on any other site I've found listing this tent but the king poles do come with it. I haven't been able to test the waterproofing as there is no water supply in the paddock so just have to hope that it will be ok. Once I have used it a few times I will do a review.
I e-mailed coleman about my weathermaster last week and also singers which is where I got it from and heard nothing so today I rang them. Apparently if you e-mail from their website it goes to Mr Singer and in my experience he doesn't reply. The girl on the 'phone couldn't be less interested and transferred me to the warehouse as apparently they deal with the complaints.... However singers have rung me this afternoon and left a message and so have coleman as singers had called them about the tent. I have to ring another company and they will replace the poles under warranty so that's something at least. Once that has been done I will decide whether to keep it or evilbay it and buy a smaller tent as a spare which given my luck with tents seems like a sensible idea
------------- never argue with an idiot........ they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
