I would speak to the site direct. If the pitches really are marked out at that size then your guylines will run onto a second pitch and yes, you'll probably have to pay more. However sites often have a couple of slightly larger pitches, say in a corner, and if you're upfront with them they could maybe accomodate you.
On the other hand campsites often say "Tents must be no more tha x meters by y meteres" and this is normally taken as the footprint size, excluding guylines. This is how the C&CC work...their pitches are 11m x 11m approx, they require the 6m gap, so the max tent footprint is 8m x 5m and guylines are allowed in the 3m on each side of the tent, as are cars.
Yes, come to think of it, if the bigger Tigris fills your pitch entirely, where are you going to put your car?
