Hi

Have been looking at the pegasus 6 or 7 as i like the good living area.
Came upon the orion 7 by accident and it looks good.
Anyone have one and can recommend?

Have been camping a few times but unlike most of you lot am not a "hardened camper"
Have got tents in the past that pitch fly sheet first. The orion pitches inner first. What are the pro's and con's of this method?

Thanks

Can't help personally but there is one review of the Orion 7 on the Tent Review link (in case you haven't seen it).

We have a Wynnster Phoenix 6 and are very happy with it.

Pros are that it will be warmer and less prone to condensation , being double skinned.
cons are that if its raining when you pitch, the inner gets wet before the flysheet goes on over it, and pitching takes a bit longer than flysheet first .

The Orions are virtually identical to the old Anglesey tents (made by wynnster also) and I can honestly say that ours was the best tent we EVER had!!!
Really spacey (Orion 7 is even bigger than our Anglesy 5)
Completely bug and draft free.
MASSIVE living area.
A porch to store wet gear
the list goes on...
Would recommend the orion without a doubt.......
There are also reviews on the Anglesy in the review section (i'm pretty sure the Orion was just an update of the Anglesy.)

If it's just the updated version of the Anglesy it'll be a great tent. We've got the Anglesy but it's getting a bit shabby now. We bought the Monty 6 last year but to be honest i prefer the Anglesy.

It looks very similar to the Anglesy.

Have found an Orion 6 for £120.00.
I think thats a good price.

Does anyone know if groundsheet on the Orion 6 goes into the porch area, or do you need a footprint?

It does go into the porch area but its "apron style" - still attached to the main inner tent but not sewn in like the rest of the tent... its better that way at least you can chuck a bucket of water over it when it gets muddy!!

As far as i know you can't get a footprint for the orion but you can always get a big piece of tarp and cut your own- Once the tent has been erected (remember to cut it a tiny bit smaller than the tent ground sheet)

Personally i would go for it, thats a really good price and you won't be dissapointed!!

Sadly our Anglesy has gone to the big campsite in the sky, we abused it too much last year and sadly it got put away wet.... need I say more.''

I think i'm gonna go for this Orion 6.

One last question though if anyone knows the answer.

Says the bedroom area is two bedrooms that can be converted into one.
What is the split of the two bedrooms?   ( 4 + 2 or 3 + 3 )

Thanks

Put it up to check it and its massive.
Will do a review of tent and campsite when i get back.
