Hello,

Been over to the tent show in Lincoln today, had a good range of tents on show.
The main reason for going was to view the vango orchy 600, which we were all set to get, but you guess we changed our minds, the OH wants a bigger living area, now I don't know which one to go for.

The OH, liked the Outwell Minnesota 6 and the Outwell Nevada M. But I am a fan of the Vango's due to pass experiences. Now we have a choice to make, and that is were the problems been.
The options are

Outwell Minnesota 6
Outwell Nevada M
Vango Sungari 600

I haven't used a outwell before, so I don't know how good they are to pitch, with stand the good old British weather. :)

The other problem is that we haven't been able to view the Vango surgari 600 yet, so I would be interested to see what other people thought about this tent, as we liked the rain shelter on the side door, and the fact that the outwell's doors don't look too easy to use when you just want the use the mesh door.

Any advice would be great please, plus anywhere near Lincoln that has the vango on show.

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

I had the nevada xl last year, excellent tent really good quality. Its fully draught proof ,some of the other tents with sig, still have a gap at the bottom of the doorways.
The doors with mesh are easy to use, the ouside door just rolls up out of the way.

The pole quality of the outwells is great. We were unfortunate enough to get caught in the 60-70mph winds last whitsun, and although the tent was almost blown flat at times, it sprung back up and not a broken pole .
two other tents with us had multiple shattered poles .

We went to Yeomans yesterday to buy a new tent and had pretty much decided on buying the Outwell Nevada M before we even went. After seeing how tall they are, and that they use fiberglass poles, I didn't think they would stand up too well in bad winds so bought the Minnesota 4 instead. We downscaled from a Montana 6 and have happily sat through bad storms before without the tent moving an inch while other people less fortunate have had to run to the safety of their cars while their tents laid flat on the floor.

I've no doubt the Nevada is a very good tent but for the sake of an extra £50 I'd rather play it safe considering the unpredictable weather we have in this country!
