I'm looking for a tent with a full inner so as not to get damp if sitting inside in the evening and am after recommendations. My requirements are; decent-sized living space, 2nd door to deal with wind changes and/or somewhere to cook. Also nice wide door to sit in and look at the veiw (I don't like the tunnel entrance to the Diabalo). I thought about the Outdoor Revolution Scenic but then realised that the living area was divided up and only part was double-skin. Flexibility on sleeping area would be nice - sometimes it's just me, or me and OH, usually the kids are with their friends in little tents. I notice that there's a Royal Vancouver 4 and a Khayam Yale that might fit my requirements - but it's not always easy to see with the little pictures on the review sites. And - where can I see these tents on display?

What is your budget? Also, if you want info on local displays it would help if you gave some idea of your location.

If you want an inner pitch (total double skin) tent then have you considered a Vango Aspen 500? On sale at £199 here or, if you fancy one with a porch, the 500 DLX is here at £249.

Not the quickest tents to pitch but they are pretty solid once up and nice inside. If you like inner-first pitching, then they aren't a bad choice IMHO, and esp at those prices (discontinued models, now, hence reductions).

Maybe a tad on the large size for solo camping, though .

The Khyam Yale was on offer at £99 recently, UKCS member magically has one and speaks highly of it. If you do a search, using the icon at the top of this page, you will find more info. Also worth checking UKCS tent reviews for the models which interest you.

Best of luck, whatever you decide.

Hi
We have a khyam yale which we bought last year.
It is a lot warmer with the double skin. went out last
may when it rained and the wind howled it stood its ground was swaying around alot but had no damage. Used again in
August no bad weather. A good tent maybe only for 2 people. It depends on how much room you like, and what camping gear you have. Happy camping.

Thank you for these - I'd not come across the Aspen in my UKCAmpsite searches. I'm on the west side of London, so would be looking for displays in the South East or midlands.
