Hi, For all of you that live in or are travelling down to the south west this year, the Sanders Garden World tent display is up and pride of place at the front of the tent field is the outwell indian lake......
Well of course I had to go for a nosey!!!
Completely surprised by it to be honest. Still dont like the look of it outside, however inside you would never believe you were in a mis-shaped tee pee....
It's lovely inside, and although small, and slopey, much nicer than the proper shaped tee pee's as you have a bit more standing up room.
The bedrooms look like they would only just fit a double air bed, but a floor level one not a raised one. I think it would be better leaving these out...
The porch seems good t the start, however on closer inspection it slopes so if you open it in the rain, it ill come in (unless you have the inner door closed then you cant stand up if you close the outer one behind you! iyswim)
Overall a nice tent, but not for me.......
Lots of other tents up to look at, including some outwell lakes and sea's, vangos, khyams (including the sun porch) and various canopies attached to tents so you can see how they work.
Well worth a visit!! (or a drool!!)
Emma xx

I had a nosey at one recently, too, and it's not for me either!
The internal shape is a bit claustrophobic (IMHO), not at all like, say, the Cabanon pyramid type tents which don't close down again towards the doorway. The height provided by the central pole doesn't help, hence it is a bit of a useless feature (you could sit and look up at it, I guess?).
The porch is next to useless and you'd have to be quick and close it at first sign of rain, or else the permanently attached curtains would get wet!
I wasn't too impressed with the outside either; too many guys and that 'hat' is a bit wierd, don't you think?
Nevertheless, there will be plenty of folk who do like them for their quirkiness, and that's as it should be, since camping is surely as individual as us lot!
