Hi all, wondering if anyone has got any good tips regarding cleaning a polyester tent? I loaned ours out to some "friends" last summer and when we went to use it last weekend we discovered it had muddy marks inside & out. If someone could help I would be grateful, paticularly if we dont have to get it out of the bag to do it!!!

Brush it off first, with a soft brush, then hose it down if possible and gently wipe any stubborn marks with a damp sponge (just plain water and don't rub) and leave to dry in the sunshine (think there will be any sunshine today?  ) Don't use detergent or you will impair the waterproofing.

There's no sign of mildew, is there?

Actually, I have just thought of a way you can do it without taking it out of the bag; take it (in bag) round to your friends house (the ones who borrowed it and left it in a muddy state), ask them (nicely) to clean it and leave cleaning instructions, collect tent when cleaned, dried and re-packed into bag - JOB DONE!
