thank for the comment, I have looked at the reviews, its just that there don't seem to be many compared to some other tents. Also, I know that there were some issues with last years model and the poles not being strong enough? I think that has been resolved in this years.
Judging by the huge amount of knowledge folks on here are kind enough to post I would welcome any comments before we go off and spend what seems like alot of money (approx £400) on a tent! (I know thats not squillions compared to some but its still enough!)
we did go for a royal bordeaux 5 and so far (only put up in the garden) are really pleased with it. Plenty of space and easy to erect. Neighbours all interested!!
Disappointed that a Royal post didn't attract any more responses, either positive or indeed negative...
either way, I will post once the tent has been thoroughly tested!!......

we've got a Royal Pescara and again would recommend the make, I agree that there does not seem to be many Royal owners out there but welcome to our very exclusive club

We have a Royal Avignon 4 and are really pleased with it. I know there are a lot of members on here with the Bordeaux who all really like it. Have you seen this thread which I added to recently which shows there are a lot of people that have Royal tents. Royal unfortunately don't seem to get as much support on this site as much as Outwells, Vangos etc which is a shame as they are really well made tents/designs. Our Avignon has a really high head room and space for a 4 berth. Have you seen the Bordeaux up? It is really nice and spacious. The new one has removable side windbreaks on the canopy which I really like the idea of if its raining.
I think the main problem with Royal is their promotional materials and website aren't up to much especially compared to Outwell.
I would recommend the Royal brand and have just bought my son a Royal pop up tent which also looks to be really well made/designed.

I'm another Pescara owner and can vouch for the quality and design of Royal Tents - good luck
