I would welcome any comments on the Royal Bordeaux 6.

We have camped before in a cheap tent we bought online.  Nothing wrong with it per se just dont really like the layout.

Want.. windows and space, in a tent that can very comfortably accomodate 3 plus dog thats relatively easy to put up.

Dont want, wet feet, no space to sit in and no views!

Any comments on the Royal tent we are thinking of buying would be really appreciated, PLUS what extras do you think are a must?

Can't help personally but there are reviews here that seem very positive!

thank for the comment, I have looked at the reviews, its just that there don't seem to be many compared to some other tents.  Also, I know that there were some issues with last years model and the poles not being strong enough?  I think that has been resolved in this years.

Judging by the huge amount of knowledge folks on here are kind enough to post I would welcome any comments before we go off and spend what seems like alot of money (approx £400) on a tent! (I know thats not squillions compared to some but its still enough!)

we did go for a royal bordeaux 5 and so far (only put up in the garden) are really pleased with it.  Plenty of space and easy to erect.  Neighbours all interested!!

Disappointed that a Royal post didn't attract any more responses, either positive or indeed negative...

either way, I will post once the tent has been thoroughly tested!!......

We are in our second year of using the Royal Pescara, have also had the Royal dayroom and drive away awning before.

The tent is great, made really well, poles good quality, no leaks etc....

Cant advise on that particular model, but I would have no worries about buying a Royal tent!!!

Hope you have a great time in your new tent!

HI

We have a Royal Avignon 4 and are really pleased with it.  I know there are a lot of members on here with the Bordeaux who all really like it. Have you seen this thread which I added to recently which shows there are a lot of people that have Royal tents. Royal unfortunately don't seem to get as much support on this site as much as Outwells, Vangos etc which is a shame as they are really well made tents/designs. Our Avignon has a really high head room and space for a 4 berth. Have you seen the Bordeaux up? It is really nice and spacious. The new one has  removable side windbreaks on the canopy which I really like the idea of if its raining.

I think the main problem with Royal is their promotional materials and website aren't up to much especially compared to Outwell.

I would recommend the Royal brand and have just bought my son a Royal pop up tent which also looks to be really well made/designed.

I'm another Pescara owner and can vouch for the quality and design of Royal Tents - good luck

We have the royal bordeaux 6 zg in green, The 2007 model with three sleeping areas in it. Its a really lovely tent light and roomy we also have the matching royal carpet which feels lovely under foot when you first get up in the morning.
