Hi guys,
Well it sure is a minefield out there when it comes to choosing the right tent for the right price etc!
So far, i've reached a decision that for my family needs, I should invest in a tunnel tent with a sewn in ground sheet, Preferably with seperate sleeping areas for when the kids (boy 9 and girl 2) get a bit olderand the option of a sun awning/porch in the future.
I like the three door tunnels with one either side of the centre and an end door, (although that's not a necessity).
Read loads of reviews on here re the 'well known' brands and have unsuccessfully bid on fleabay for a few, namely Vango Vista 800, Khyam Kansas, (love it, but it's a bit steep for us at the mo brand new), etc. and have visited Outdoor World and Geat Outdoors but to no avail
We are relatively new to camping although we did have a tourer, so there is also a few other bits I need to pick up prior to starting out, namely gas bottle, kitchen and eating tables, so we are on a bit of a budget.
Just noticed the Skandika range on fleabay, namely the 'Scirroco' and the 'Gotland'.
There are one or two reviews on various Skandika models, but not enough to convince me that they represent value for money at the mo, probably because they're a lot cheaper than the 'well known' brands.
Has anyone got a Skandika, who via this thread, can recommend or disapprove of investing in one.
Your valid opinion is urgently required!
Many thanks, Mike.
