Having spent the weekend in our Wynnster tent which has a separate ground sheet I think we are needing to invest in a new tent with a sewn in ground sheet.  We need a tent with 3 pods and these 2 seem to cover what we need.  Can anyone give me any info (good or bad) to help me decide.....

We have hartford xl and its great for us (2 adults, 2c hildren and 2 dogs) Only problem is its size 7mx7m which has meant that we can't always pitch on some sites. For this reason I have another tent with a more conventional  footprint. I know this will throw spanner in works but have you considered a tunnel as you can still have your bedrooms but with its only long and not long and wide...if that makes sense

We have a Hartford xl,fantastic tent, cavernous space which for us, two adults two daughters is great, easy to erect and pack away,we can even...after a bit of practice, get it back in the bag!

The  best aspect of this tent is the amount and size of the windows, even sky lights,it never feels gloomy...sit inside on a rainy day with a bottle of wine and watch the world go by....

Cant help with the Vango, though i believe they are also great tents,choices,choices......

Good Luck.

Hi, we have a Hartford XL too.  Ours must be getting on a bit - think its about 5 years old.  It is still in good condition (I'm not trying to sell it!!!).  The only problem we had was loops which attached the outer to the poles coming away from the seam, but I reinforced the attachment to the seam, and resealled it (about 3 years ago) and its been fine since.  I think the newer ones have the poles on the outside, so would not anticipate this problem.

We love the space.  The only thing is that you sleep paralel to the door of the bedrooms, on reflection I would prefer to be at right angles to the door (easier to get out if someone is asleep) - but that is not a major issue.

We've certainly had our money's worth, and its still going strong.
