Hi Chris, I think the Guadeloupe will be to small for 2 but dont have any experience of the Barbados so cannot comment. Does the Barbados have an inner bedroom which would be a plus for warmth if you camping in cooler weather.

I'll check out those Dutch pyramids, however I fear they may be slightly too expensive!

We have the Cabanon Barbados and find it ideal for the two of us.  We have just bought a kitchen tent to give us extra room for cooking when the weather is bad.   If you do a search on Cabanon Barbados on here, I think there are some photo's of the inside of our tent we put a few months ago.  You would definately have room in the living area for two folding chairs and small table.  I must admit, I think the inner tent in the Barbados makes it feel cosy, especially with all the bad weather we had last year.

I have also been checking out the Hypercamp pyramid tents on Obelink as we saw one last year whilst on holiday and they look a super tent - the one we saw certainly stood up to the heavy rain and gale force winds we had (in Cornwall of all places in the middle of July).

Lentrott, those links are very interesting. As an owner of both a Cabanon and a De Waard, is there really that much of a quality difference between the two to justify the additional outlay?? The quality of the Cabanons seems pretty high to me, however I have never seen a De Waard and am curious as to why they have such a good reputation and hence such a high value!

 Hey we have a DW  tartan wolly carpet as you call it so does that mean we are partial DW owners? lol

It is one of the loose ones that fits in DWs with straps and clips so I cut those off .

It is a Lepelaar one too . Looks and feels lovely in our pyramids :)
