I have been looking to buy this tent for a couple of weeks now and just wanted to find out if anyone has bought one recently and if you are 100% entirely happy with it. This is my first time camping with our own tent as we have stayed in my sister-in-laws one. The kids loved it so and as much as I don't like to rough it, will do so just to see the look on their faces. The initial outlay for all of this is therefore quite substantial and just want to make sure this is the right tent. Everything about it fits our requirements but just wanted to know if there were any problems anyone encountered which might affect my decision to buy it.

We bought one one a couple of weeks ago and i love it,it rained really heavy first night but tent stayed dry no leaks, love the amount of space it gives us in the living area, I answered another thread about this so if you have a look i added a couple of pics.
took us about 45 mins to put it up so not too bad, we also got the carpet which is lovely.
Thanks for your comments. I am new to this site and have just been reading some info regarding people with big tents. The general view is that 4 meters (width) including guylines is the most you can fit on a pitch without going onto another one and your price per night going up. As you know the Montreal is 4.4 wide not including the guylines. Do you know what these people are talking about and will we have problems with the Montreal.
We have only been to a site without marked pitches so had no problem, i had the info with me when we booked in that had sizes on and the site wasnt bothered, maybe call any site you want to go to and check direct with them they might have some larger pitches for you.

The camping and caravanning club sites are the most strict on the tent size rule, they insist on having a 6m gap between all tents. They have evn realised the problem and now have introduced jumbo pitches at some of their sites.
Other sites are not so strict and will let you pitch whatever size tent will actually fit on the pitch if its a marked area,
and some sites have no set pitches, you just pick a space in the field.
Its not a huge tent footprint compared to some that are 9m x 9m with pods coming off the main tent at angles , so you shouldn't have too much trouble with finding a suitable site.
