I really like the look of these but cannot find anywhere in UK that sells them, they get good reviews in the States but do you think they would be any good for UK use, would there be a difference?
I would like the 10ftx10ft model which goes for $350-$420 in the States, but before making my mind up and spending loads on shipping can anyone recommend something similar available in UK?
Cheers

I've never heard of this tent, but if it's like most of the tents from The States, it will not have a separate bedroom pod inside, and only mesh windows (not PVC), which means that in our lovely British summertime you will have to keep the windows covered to keep the rain out, so the inside of the tent will be very dark.
There are loads of canvas frame tents on ebay at the moment, so if you fancy this style of tent you should be able to get a good bargain.
Well looking at the size of it,I don't think it will have a sleeping inner to it.The shipping costs because of the weight will be very high, and there will be tax to pay.You will be paying more than the tent costs in shipping.I have just put that weight (68lbs) into UPS shipping calculator to my home address and it comes in at $482 dollars.!!!!
Also what are you going to if its faulty,or develops a fault......
Have a look a Cabanon Tents if you are set on a canvas model similar to what you have posted. They make some of the finest canvas tents in the world.

David Couper. Did you season your tent before use? We have had a 10x14 for 4 years. Never leaked a drop. Best tent I've owned, especially in windy conditions.

Have a look under the user name and you will see what tent they have. A lot of us, including mucker, have canvas tents, just not Kodiaks.

To spinylee the kodiak tent was well sesoned. No problems love the tent .it stood up to every thing the English weather winds and rain utill the last camping trip really took battering .the tent Belgian to discolour .it was like rust inside the tent and water dripping in
