We are thinking about getting some extras for the vango before our next trip. We are looking at the carpet, side porch extension and the footprint groundsheet. Has anyone got any of these and are they worth it also where did you get them from?

When you book a campsite would you also tell them about the porch extension?

The Gelert Horizon Porch extension is very suitable for the Tigris giving you loads of extra space 2m x 3.45m on the side doors

I have just bought the footprint, tunnel extension and carpet for the Tigris 600.

All the items I have bought are Vango.

The footprint and tunnel extension were bought from Springfields, (www.springfield-camping.co.uk).  The footprint was £24.99 the tunnel extension was £84.99.  Because my order was over £99.99, the p&p was free.

Springfields didn't have a carpet for the Tigris 600, but they did say that the price they were selling out at was £37.00, (down from £45.00).  It would have been nice to have got the carpet from Springfields as well, avoiding the p&p which obviously shoves the cost up.

In the end the best price I could get bit for on the Internet was £39.99 but I had to pay £2.50 postage.  I bought it from a marketplace seller on Amazon.co.uk.

What I will say is that there are 2 different types of extension canopy.  There is an open one which is a bit cheaper at around £65 and there's the one I bought which is a larger closed type which can be used as a storage area and can be zipped.  I though "in for a penny, in for a pound" and disregarded the difference in cost, after all I am unlikely to buy another for a long while!

I have bought these Tigris 600 accessories for my Nevis 600, which dimensionally is the same tent but with a few refinements.  The only bug bare is that vango do not include a pitching DVD as they do with the Tigris.  I have asked Vango if they will send me the Tigris DVD but as yet have had no response.

Is there anyone who would be prepared to copy me this DVD?  I am sure that given time I can work the pitching method out for myself, but it would be nice to see someone else doing it first!

Any helpers?  

By the way,  as far as supplementary site fees for extensions, I probably wouldn't mention it.

The extension on the Tigris is more of a porch which attaches to the side entrance.  It doesn't actually add to the length.
