Hello, could anyone tell me how the outwell side canopy performs in the wind? I'm looking to buy one for my sunncamp evolution 600 DL but keep flitting between this and a outdoor revolution outhouse. How does the canopy stand up when the wind starts blowing or would I have to take the whole thing down in gusty weather?

Agree with above .. use with delta pegs and should be solid as a rock. Obviously if very high winds forecast take down, takes 5 minutes.. same goes for OR Outhouse.

hi we have one ours is fine remember the poles are the steel framed ones asnd because of there shape very hard to bend weve been out in really stromg winds the most that happens is that a peg or two has come out be i think it all depends on were your camping and how strong the wind is dosnt matter what equipment you have agood wind win take it away but the outwell performs fine very very robust cheers from david and maxine
------------- hi how the devil are you david and maxine here oliver and jasmine too roll on camping weather .ready to go yipeeeee.
Dont know if you have got one yet but we are selling ours-going on ebay in a couple of weeks. We got it this season, put it up once, and it doesnt fit our tent (its only an outwell oregon 5, with 3 poles and I think you really need one either side of the doorway for the canopy to work well) and I found it tricky to put up though that could just be my inexperience! Does look v smart have to say so shame to let it go
We had ours up on shell island 2 years ago when shocking gales hit us. Our friend's tent was completely flattened by the wind and we snapped 3 fibre glass poles on our sun valley 6 but the side canopy was solid as a rock. The steel poles helped, as well as facing it away from the prevailing wind, but that is just common sense as it is the place you will likely sit and who wants to sit with the wind blowing in their face.

Do you still have this? We're trying out our new tent in a couple of weeks and it maybe nice to add a little extra covered space. Cheers
