Hi All, I need help - no matter how I try I just cannot get the orchy back in it's bag!!

When it was first put up it was under the influence of alcohol at a festival so I took no note of how it came out of the bag!

Should it be folded lengthways? if so how many times? Or is it folded widthways?

Yours,

One very frustrated Orchy owner with a 'supposed' oversize tentbag.

the oversized bag is a bit of a con.

the 600 takes two of us and a bit of a squeeze to get back in the bag and we have taken to leaving the poles out and just storing them separate.

We fold it in half from the front to the back, then half again side to side, half again from front to back, then another half side to side.

after this making sure that the width is about the sme as the bag we roll it as tight as we can and then shoehorn in the bag.

i am pretty sure this is not the textbok way to manage it but it works for us.

by the way i love the orchy and think its a great bit of kit.

I fold ours lengthways.. inwards towards the middle using the diagonal corners at the front as a guide then again from each side using the bag as a guide for width. then roll really tightly and it usually does the trick- at each stage I get the kids to crawl up it so we get rid of trapped air!   Sarah

We have now given up on getting our 600 back in the ahem oversized bag!

The bag is now storage for the poles, the extension, spare ground sheet, extension poles and a very large number of pegs while the tent is folded in exactly the same way SarahJG describes above and wrapped in heavy duty garden rubbish bags!

The orchy is a great tent though imho.
