The original title of this post still stands!!
My task today was to narrow down my choices but I've only managed to 'narrow up' if there is such a thing....My choices are
Outwell Nevada 4
Outwell Iowa 6
Vango Tigris 400 DLX
And I've just come across the Coleman Modulus X5 which looks amazing. If anyone has experience of this tent I'd love to hear from you. The main thing being, is it easy to erect?

One active pitcher and someone just for the occaisional steady . First outing out myself and DD aged 11 managed it . Once the middle part of the tent is up it is solo from that point . All the tents in your short list are good , but the Nevada 4 is a shortened version of the Nevada M and you would always regret not having that instead. The Iowa will be quick to erect , and could be done solo , but how long before you want a canopy ? Tigris 400dlx again could be solo pitched and again , yu might be thinking of extra space. The Modulous X5 or 7 would give you two tents in one . A weekender whereby you could leave a room off, or with the second room a weekend for four adults , or a full week for two adults and stuff, possibly more . The X7 is on display near me at JR Leisure at Nottingham , and the sleeping areas are very large . Also the door makes the largest awning of all three tents . I think for versatility it is the best choice , and well made too,6000HH and a cool air port to attatch a fan . And if you have only one bedroom attatched, the panel where the other goes could be removed to allow it to be used more as a gazebo.
------------- Be seeing you!!
