Just come back from camping and tried the Outwell extension on our Idaho XL.

Could you tell me if anybody has one is it supposed to run at the same width? It seems it starts the same width of the main opening and then tapers out so the opening to the extension is  wider than the original opening ? Not sure if that makes sence ! also how does the small entrance groundsheet work ? It has zips in two corners and lots of cut outs etc, I seemed to think the zips go to the opening of the tent and are used for if you fasten the main door up you can zip the groundsheet so it is fully sealed with the door ?

We have the extension for our Idaho Xl and yes it does get wider to the front. great extra space handy for carefull cooking when the weather is bad.

the small entrance groundsheet Zips go to the front as you say so that when they are zipped up you have a bathtub type groundsheet so that when you close the front door the rain does not come in.

Now i really must go, we are off camping in half an hour and i am sitting here reading this board.

enjoy your weekend

Can't say that I noticed it wider at the front but it may have been. Never used the ground sheet in the tunnel so can't help you there eithier.  However, seeing as the extension comes with no instructions, justa friendly piece of advice. Undo the tension straps at the bottom before attempting to ring and pin the tent or you'll

A. end up with a hernia or bad back etc or

B. rip the extension

Hi

We have an Idaho L and have been trying endlessly to purchase a front extension. If anyone has one for sale, I am very interested, If you could get back to me and I would forward my details on.

Thanks Dionne

If anyone is still after the extension for this tent, my local Go Outdoors store in Bristol had some in there when I was in the other day altho I don't think they sell the tent. They seem to have lots of canopies for Outwell tents so might be worth checking their other stores.
