Hi, we are looking to upgrade to a bigger family tent (can't stand up on our current small one). We have narrowed it down to 3: the Outwell Nevada M, Vango Orchy 600 and Attwools Bibury tent (these are small and light enough to fit in our car). The first two are fine, but out of stock at local stockiets. The Attwools one is available, and I like the whole package (free carpet and poles for the canopy, with side wind breaks) for £199 (similar price to the other two), but have two reservations. One that you have to put the inner part up first - so this would get wet if putting up/taking down in the rain - and two that the 2 bedroom areas aren't sealed off, just mesh zipped attachments that hang - don't zip up all round. Does anyone have this tent who can comment on this and generally how good (or not) the tent is. Is it easy to put up? Any comparisons, views on the other two tents would also be appreciated - if needed we could buy one of these on-line, but would prefer to go to a stockiest. We live in the Glos area, went to Go Outdoors at Bristol, but both sold out! Thanks in advance.

I would say for £200 , you could have considerable choice of 6 berth , and some 8 berth tents . Your concerns over the Bibury would be legitimate . Far better to spend money on a better tent , than be tempted by a bit of flash and dazzle. As regards camping shops in your area , is Taunton too far away , as Somerset Camping is there.

As is the Taunton Leisure outdoor display at Sanders Garden World and Highbridge Caravans, both on the A38 within 2 to 3 miles of each other.

My dad just bought the Bibury this afternoon lol! He preferred it to the other Attwoolls tent on the opposite side (the Badminton), although I must admit the bedroom areas weren't my cup of tea either, but I wasn't buying it lol! But I'm actually going to be testing it out on 27th June so I can't comment til then :)
He bought it because of the space, just tie the bit back on the opposite side and there was so much living space and it had a sewn in groundsheet where the Badminton didn't.
