Hi

I'm feeling baffled by the choice of tents!  I'm looking for:

Tent that fits us all and gives decent living space

SIG

Fits on most pitches

Budget - ideally less than £200

If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi,

Kids are little (4 3 and 1).

Like tunnel tents - think they have more space and seem to fit better on pitches.

We've seen lots that I like, but not that I can afford!!

Really like Colemans, Gelerts and Vangos.

Thanks for the help!

How would you like to sleep-all in one room  ,or one adult with youngest and one with the remainder ? Is the yougest going to sleep in a travel cot or something else ?At the moment I'm guessing that something like the Tigris 800 would be the brief where the two bedroom areas can be divided or left as two large bedrooms .Yeomans are doing the Vango Yukon 800 for £199.99 at present and , was last years Tigris, and possibly a better tent. With young kids, you could also consider the Coleman Modulus 7 , £179.99 at several outlets.

Little one would sleep in travel cot with us.  Bigger two could sleep in separate room.  I have just been looing at the Tigris and the Yukon - so it's good to know the Yukon is a decent tent!

Also looked at the Khyam Seattle... will go and look at the Coleman...

I would spend the extra £10 for the Vango over the Khyam, as it has slightly more room and has a better HH, 5000 against 2000.

Don't discount the Gelert Horizon 8, very similar to the Vango Yukon 800 but has slightly bigger dimensions all round. The additional head height in particular makes a huge difference in the feel of the living area.

I've not seen the Yukon up, but I saw the Horizon a few times last year and was very impressed with it.

I can highly recommend the Khyam Ontario 8. We are a family of 2 adults, 3 kids and a loopy dog.

Very easy to put up (tunnel tent), fits on standard pitch, standing height, SIG, 3 large bedrooms which will accommodate 75cm wide airbeds (so is definaltey a proper 8 berth) acres of living space (over 3m x 3M)

We bought ours 2 years ago and paid £189 and got the footprint groundsheet thrown in for free.
Now looking to buy the sun porch and carpet to make it a real home from home.
