There has to be the tension, thats what holds the tent up, if it wasn't hard to get in, it would come out easily too and the tent wouldn't stay up.
It is easier to get the pins in , if you do all the poles first, lying them on the ground, before pegging out the corners. this way you have more flex with the fabric. lay all pinned poles on top of each other,
then peg out back corners, Open front end door to let air in and it helps you lift the tent.lift all poles up together and walk them forwards. peg out front guylines to hold the tent up , close the doors, then do the rest of the guys and flysheet pegging points.
