We have recently bought a Wynnster Eagle 6 tent and being as we don't have a big enough garden to pitch it decided to go away for the weekend to try it out.
We went to a campsite at Sherwood forest, managed to pitch it ok, tents looks superb, loads of room. The weather then preceded to absolutely chuck it down for the next 15 hours or so which is where our problems arise.
We started to get moisture coming in around the bottom of the windows which then dripped onto the floor creating pools, our main concern though is the zip areas around the side doors. Water was getting through to the back of the outer door and soaking the zip material attached to the fly door which then caused water to drip onto the inner groundsheet creating large pools of water.
Have any Eagle 6 owners experienced this problem before?? have you managed to find an answer to the problem?? or is this a design fault of the doors??
I will probably be trying to get the tent exchanged by wynnster to try another one as i like the tent and want to keep it.
Sorry for the long post.
Many thanks,
Steve

We've just got back tonight after 5 very wet days/nights in our Eagle, (the sun was shining today when we were leaving, but at least the tent was put away dry). We did get a little water through but it wasn't near the doors or zips but was a little around the windows. This was our second outing and as we had no trouble the first time with shall we say normal rain I'm inclined to think it was the abnormal amount of rain that fell and the fact that we didn't get the tent up perfectly i.e one or two creases as it was really torrential when we were putting it up. I must admit though that after this latest experience I'm seriously considering a caravan. The only thing is how can I go from something as big as an Eagle to (what seems to be) a tiny van.
Hope you get it sorted out, and if you know of anyone that wants an Eagle you never know I may be selling.
We took ours back yesterday and the store are going to replace it for another one, unfortunately it won't be here until next week.
We are going away to Wales soon for a holiday so that will be the first time it is going to be tested. Fingers crossed that this one is ok, although i've got a feeling that it will have the same problem.
We've been away with our Eagle 6 quite a few times this year - we get the occasional drops of water when the rain belts it down, we just put a towel down - we certainly don't get pools of water and the doors don't seem to be affected.
It's not been that much of a problem to make us think about returning it - it seems that there may be a slight design fault with the windows.
Other than that - an absolute gem of a tent - we love it!!
