I am aware that Cabanon are quality tents but this particular model does not seem that popular and the cynic in me wonders if there is a reason for this.
I suspect it's not that the Rotunde isn't a popular tent, more that is hasn't been manufactured for some considerable time.
If you check ebay you will see that this model does come up for sale quite frequently, so they are still out there and so surely popular as they can be in the used, large frame tent bracket.
All Cabanon frame tents are easy enough to erect. This one will be quite heavy and bulky, because of it's size and the additional frame for the shaped front and push out kitchen area.
Check the frame to ensure it is complete and not buckled or broken (springs are not a prob and can be easily replaced). Inspect the canvas for wear and damage. Pegging rubbers can also be easily replaced, so no worries if a few have perished. Have a good look at the window panels, and check for nicks or cuts, esp along any crease lines where they have been folded.
Is the original peg bag present, complete with all pegs and mallet? Are the pegs manky and bent (sign of considerable use, which I wouldn't expect on a Cabanon tent used for just two seasons, as the seller is claiming). Are all the guy ropes there, and reasonably clean?
I would be very surprised if this tent was bought new just two years ago, though, so wouldn't entirely trust whatever else the seller says, since this is almost definitely a porkie! Do you think the selling price is fair?
