Hi All New to the Forum and would like some advice from you guys.

Just bought a Coleman Matrix x6 and have pitched it up in my parents garden to test it out. Space is limited ,as they have their Raclet frame tent up at the moment, but im really struggling with the 2 point guy ropes!

Whilst not totally a newbie to camping, all my previous experience with guy ropes have all been single point. The matrix have a few single guyropes on it ,and ive managed to tighten them fine, but the guys on the dome sections that atach to 2 points, i can only get one point tight whilst the highest point is still loose!.

The runners have 3 holes in them, and as the light dissapeared, and i got tired and teasy, they had me stumped.
I'm going to take a look in the light tommorow, but any advice to where im going wrong would be really apprieciated.

Hokes

Not actually seen this tent, and pictures on line don't help either. I have several tents where the guys start and finish at the tent, and I assume that is what you mean. If this is the case, the guy passes round the peg, with the slider being on one side of the guy. When the slider is tensioned, the guy slides round the peg so both parts become tight. So start off with the slider twelve inches from one end of the guy and it should all make sence.

Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.

This thread might help, it shows a pic of double guylines in the first post .
the instructions then show how single guylines work, with a 3 hole slider as you have.

If you look at the pic of the guyline showing a single guy, where the pen is, that would be the attachment point where guyline joins tent in the case of a double guyline .

Adjust the line length here then peg through the single part of the line .Hope this makes sense .
