I am looking for a replacement for my "well used" Outwell Hartford XL, and have been taken by the Sprayway Valley 8, but the reviews on here appear to be less than flattering. What should I do?

I am looking for a LARGE tent (4 kids, 2 adults) with lots of storage space and LOTS of living area. The Valley 8 looks ideal, but if it's not, what is??

Please help, as I need to make my decision ASAP!!!

Welcome to the forum. First post.

Sprayway certainly had quality control issues last season and we can only hope that they have sorted those out with this year's crop of tents. If it wasn't for the faults that several customers reported then I think that many of their tents are well designed with some good and often unusual features.

Given the price of the Valley 8 do I take it that your budget is somewhere in the region of £400-£500?

From what I have seen of the Sprayway tents.....not very impressed.
Last season they had a lot of quality control issues.
I don't like that all in one tent inner and they seemed to flap about in breezy (not windy) conditions when we viewed them.
This is just my opinion though, others may beg to differ.
I would choose Outwell over them every time.

Have seen the Valley 8 for £399, which I am assuming is "old" stock.

Love the lay-out as it offers storage space plus, when the british summer hits, somewhere to hid in realative comfort! LOL

If it's not to be one of these, can anyone point me in the direction of an alternative?

I am assuming that you want a similar set up to the Sprayway?

You can still get Outwell's Sun Valley 8 (no longer made but a few left) for ~ £400.

Also the Vango Amazon 800 for a little more.

With a different layout but a very good price is the Wynnster Carina 8.

If you are willing to go vis-a-vis there are many more tents within your budget.

STAY away !!!!! Bad quality tents its what you get when a company who started life making waterproof jackets try to make tents .....

Go with another make like Vango Outwell Etc. outwell idaho is a nice layout also vango oregon if you can still get them......
