I'm looking to buy my first serious tent. My budget is around £300-350.

There are 4 of us, I'm a sinlge dad with 3 kids aged 7 & 8.

I need a tent that is easy to put up on my own as although my 8 year could help he has the attention span of a drunk donkey. It needs a decent sized living space and tall enough for me to stand up in (my height is 5'8). Ideally it should have a canopy and have 2 or 3 seperate sleeping areas. I liked the look of the Outwell sun valley 6 but I'm not sure they're made anymore, no one seems to sell them :-(

I'd be so grateful for all your recommendations.

The SV6 would be good if you can find one - they stopped them for this year.

Maybe the SV8 - has just eh one extra hoop.
Maybe a bit tricky (the 8) for just one adult and an 8yr old though. The 6 would be OK if you can get the others to help hold poles.
My OH and 12yr old could manage the SV6 on their own but deff need 2 adults and a child to hold poles for the 8.

Have a look at the Outwell Michigan L -4 man vis-a-vis tent but could be OK for you. Try and have a look at some tent displays so you can get a good idea of how much space and light there is in 'real life'.
You and an 8 yr old would put this up no problem as there are only really 4 poles to do. Price is about £289.

Just found it at All Weathers fro £279

Darn, looks like I missed out - it says 'out of stock'.

Has anyone got a Khyam Montreal? Would this tent be easy to put up? I love the look of it.
