Yes, this is the tent!

If the long straps run under the two side pods, where do the shorter straps go?  Or are they for different levels of tension?

A long and a short strap with male connectors start at the corner of each side pod and the rear pod.  Two female connectors are located on the ring at each corner of side pod and entrance.

Hi james, it was me who sent the instructions to you!

We have never undone the straps -ever!! They go in front of each of the pods and one across the front in front of the porch to make a square. You need to make sure they are at right angles to each other at the corners of the main living area of tent before you put any pegs in to ensure the correct shape of the tent is achieved. We haven't ever needed to adjust them. The shorter two are the front and back ones, the longer two go in front of the larger bedroom pods.

Good quality tent you will love it in France.

Straps they need to form a rectangle the two long run parralel (side pods) and the two short are for back pod and front.

Good luck and when you sort it dont undo the straps it is a nightmare I have done it !!!!

thankyou so much - the answer I have been looking for. Previous owner must have moved some of the female connectors turning a relatively simple job into a Mensa style challenge!

Your advice on not undoing after is noted too.

Can now go camping without fear of providing an afternoon's entertainment and hilarity for onlooking family and any neighbouring campers.
