Hi
Bought an Oregon 3 two years ago to use for quick weekends/couple of days away. Didn't really notice the wind blowing through the gaps till this Easter when at Hayfield, when the weather at night was windy, wet and cold!! And yes it has made me think about replacing the tent with one with a full sewn in groundsheet. We benefit from one of these in our larger family tent and I have to say SIG does make a difference in the bad weather.
Problem is finding a small tent for weekend use with sig that is easy to pitch and pack away on my own, as niether my kids or my dog tend to help! All I've found at the moment is the Sunncamp evolution 300, although would like to see a Gelert Twister 3. Failing that I had thought of sewing on my own valence but that's a bit of a hassle, never mind a real test of my sewing abilities!!
