Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a decent 4 man tent that is cheap and easy to erect, we have an outwell vermont L at present which is fine for a two week holiday but a pain to erect and take down for just  a weekend. The one asda do for £45 seems OK but do you only get what you pay for! ! !

All recommendations gratefully accepted.

Cheers  Dave

Hi Rodders

Check out the go outdoors site as they normally have some named tents at the right price.

Good Luck
Steve

I have just bought a Vango Weekender 500 package from Great Outdoors. It's a Vango Icarus 500 sold with a large suncanopy. It cost £160.00 for the two but is really easy to put up (3 poles for tent) and the living area is large enough that you don't need to use the canopy as well unless you want to. Good luck with the search!

This looks ok and not too pricey.

Hiya, have you done a practice pitch or seen the tent up? We're thinking of getting that tent have been looking at all the reviews and it seems like a good tent

i bought an asda tent last year. Looked very nice when I pitched in my garden. Left it there for a few days whilst it was raining. It had great pools of water inside when I went back to it. Returned it for a refund.

I do think a tent is one of those items that you do get what you pay for. My halfords tent is watertight and seen some terrible weather but is a pain to put up.
