thanks

Try PJ Camping, their largest store is in Romford, not too far to go from SE London:

Camping international in Gillingham might be worth a look too.

Thanks they're here: http://www.skcamping.com/

I just called them and they've got about 100 tents up.

Spoke to Camping International in Gillingham too but they don't stock Outwell and don't have the Vango I wanted to look at either.

Also Millets in Kingston has got some vacated office space above the shop that they've got half a dozen family tents up in.

Another plug for SK Camping on the A22 (5 miles south of junction 6 on the M25). It is my local - knowledgeable staff, load of tents on display - Outwell, Khyam, Vango, Suncamp, Kampa et al

Good shop too.

if you fancy going further afield then you can try

Camping & Leisure World Frensham here

Or Camping international at Horsham here

both of these are further afield if you fancya drive.....

SK at Godstone are also our local but we prefer the service at Camping & Leisure, so tend to drive over there.

Think there may also be a few tents in Tams Leisure on the Kingston rd New Malden/kingston

Just to emphasise really. P J Camping in Romford are excellent. If you go there, ask for Arthur. He is the most helpful man I have ever met in all my camping shopping experiences and believe me, there is nothing he does not know about camping & camping products1 extremely helpful when I had problems with the two Royal Bordeaux tents I had that leaked, in the end both went back and we bought a Sprayway Ravine 6 + 2  that we are very happy with. Arthur also gave us, (without any prompting), a footprint for free as we had so much bother. He also gives free erection lessons for those who buy tents from any P J camping store.

Just to add that I went down to Camping World at Frensham today and agree with Shelli above that service is excellent, plenty of knowledgeable staff around to ask daft questions of.
