Yes we have just come back from a week in ours - literally got it hot off the courier from Denmark so must be one of the first to get a week's use in the UK!
It was great and we will now get rid of our Khyam utility tent.
It meant we had somewhere to got and sit in the mornings/evenings when you want some shelter but don't want to feel stuck inside the tent. Also somewhere to keep the cooker and do the cooking without having to move it in and out of the tent all the time. And somewhere to kick off your shoes (which meant it was easier to keep the tent clean inside) and to keep various other bits and pieces, so the tent stayed tidier.
It was WELL worth the massive detour we had to make en route to Scotland to pick it up!
It was a bit of a pain to put up as it was quite windy at the time and it's a massive sail. In fact it took us longer to put up than it did the tent! But I am confident this will get better with practice.....
------------- Next trip: Applecross, Scotland. June 21st - 26th 2009
We have a vermont XL and are considering buying a Nevada M and front extension, we currently take about 70-90 minutes to get the vermont xl up, but we have only used it twice and should get this down to less than an hour hopefully. How long does it take to put up a nevada M and canopy?
hi all... just been away for the weekend and used our nevada m canopy for the first time... we are now wondering how we've managed without it.. it was fantastic for the extra space it gave us and we sat out under it even whilst it was raining outside... also as previously said it keeps the inside of the tent clean...we were able to leave the front door open whilst it was raining without any water dripping inside whereas we couldn't use the front opening before when the rain started without the carpet getting soaked...
