Can anybody confirm if the front canopy of the Sun Valley 8 2008 model zips off?  Thinking of buying one but nobody has them on display anymore.

Yes. The whole front canopy can be zipped fully off on the 2008 model .

I've uploaded photos to the tent review section (not with the front zipped off though) and can post some more if you would like(but they are all similar)

How do you like your tent?  We currently have a tired 2006 model with the front porch and are trying to decide if we can justify losing the porch.Do you gain enough space in the main living area?  We have also looked at the Vermont XL and the Arkansas 7 but they are a bit too pricey.  We usually have 4 kids & a dog in tow so need plenty of space.

we love ours, I dont find the porch big enough with 3 adults and we do the cooking under the porch.
