We have the 600 but similar issue - tried on the weekend putting the groundsheet down before pegging in the tent - to get the main living area pegged to the right size.  It helped a bit but there still didn't seem to be enough fabric in the flysheet to allow us to tuck the mud skirts under the ground sheet - which is what i presume they are meant to do.

And the living areas are a bit of a nightmare too - last time we got one skew and broke the zip :(
