Hi all, I guess this mainly goes to our Dutch friends but if anyone from the UK has one of these then please do pitch in with answers! Or if anyone has any general info about Hypercamp tents then I'd love to hear it.
I'm really interested in the following 3 tents, all Hypercamps from tents-tents.com but the info is a bit scarce:
How do the external windows/curtains work on this tent? Most of the dutch tents seem to have the same design half mesh/half window. But, do they zip down in channels on the outside or are they just held with toggles on the bottom? Can you put them down half-way when it rains and still have some light in the tent?
Does the front canopy detach?
Also there is no floorplan and I have searched for one but can't find one. Can anyone help?
Lastly, is the groundsheet the "thick" PVC you find in Outwell "Lake" tents or is it just polyester?
Is that front extension removable? It makes the tent pretty massive!
Thanks for any help you can give. I came across these after almost deciding to buy a Wolf Lake / Bear Lake but these look way better value for money and if the quality is good then I think I might risk it!
Many thanks
Chris

Hi -can't help you with info on those particular tents but we do have 2 Hypercamp tents,a 4 meter bell tent and a Djakarta Pyramid tent.
They are both good quality tents, the Djakarta Pyramid is especially well made heavy duty zips etc very good value for money,and we had no problems ordering tents,fast delivery too.

Can anyone else confirm how the curtains/windows work on these tents?
Through using google translate and downloading the Obelink brochure I managed to get even more confused about these tents... the german/dutch/english versions of the site list slightly different specs for them all and the brochure is different again... arrgh! I guess I'm gonna have to phone them to find out for sure.
Not heard a bad word said yet about Hypercamp so I'm seriously tempted to take the gamble.
Wish I could visit Obelink it looks like one AMAZING shop!!
If you haven't decided, we've just bought the Porto Ercole and our week in France was great.
About your questions:
1. the windows can be closed on the outside with a down-zip
2. they can be half opened;
3. the canopy detaches;
4. the groundsheet is the thick perfect one (that's why I choose the Porto Ercole and not the Firino 4);
5. I don't have the groundplan electronically, but the inner tent consists of a bigger and en smaller compartment. We are with the two, so we only used the big one. Space is incredible!
This post is a year old and I bought a Bear Lake instead. I love the Bear Lake but it is too heavy and difficult to put up so this year I bought a Robens Cabin 500!
Might flog the bear lake and get a hypercamp :)

Chris, we had the same thoughts and decided to take a chance and buy the Korfu 4. After looking online and going to tent displays we couldn't find anything we both really liked so finally looked further afield and found these tents.
The window covers zip down on the outside, and yes, you can roll them to half way or all the way up depending on the weather, time of day etc. There is no side door but we have found that this is not a problem and we actually prefer this now. The front door can be rolled half way back to single width or back again to double the opening. If thats not enough you can zip the groundsheet back on each side of the front and roll the entire front panel back and secure with the loops and toggles that are sewn in.
The canopy is permanently attached and is all pitched as one.
The quality is excellent and would be good value at the full price, let alone the price they sell it for now. There are a couple of pics of the tent on my profile.
