Asking some advice. We currently own a Royal Bordeaux 6 tent and have used it for several years now with the family (4 of us) plus just myself and the wife on separate trips with friends but without the kids.

What we find a pain on these trips (usually only 2 nights max) is that the Royal is just too darn big and slow to pitch so we're now looking for a cheap but reliable tent to use on the shorter trips with friends.

Now I thought I'd narrowed down our choice and was all set to buy a Gelert Twister 5 but the wife isn't really drawn to this so would like to know about decent alternatives. The Gelert certainly fitted the bill due to the speed we could pitch it (although seemingly putting it down again might not be so easy after reading many reviews!) but the wife wants ideally something with a separate bedroom and porch/living area.

Trouble is I wouldn't want to pay more than £100 for this tent given that its not going to be used that often and I don't know if I'm limited in choice therefore.

Any ideas of something else that might fit the bill?

Have a look at the Lichfield Kiowa - bit over your £100 at £146.79 at Argos but you may be able to find it elsewhere for less.

It's a tunnel but with only one pole. The extra head height space is created by two bendy poles that form semi-circles at the front and back.

Saw one last weekend - very impressed.

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.

That Kiowa looks interesting, Caz.

I have the quechua base seconds tent which literally goes up and down in minutes.  I love it so much I have just bought the quechua base 4.2 which has 2x2berth sleeping pods attached.

That Quechua Base 4.2 looks fantastic but may be too much out of our price range. I understand that they are only sold in Decathlon stores too (and the nearest to me is over 100 miles away!) - shame that, I would be seriously tempted if they were sold by online dealers.
