We have this tent. We are 2 adults + toddler + dog. We love our tent and have been to France recently with it. The best thing is is packs down small and is quite quick to put up. This is why we bought it over the next size up which have steel poles and take up a lot of space in the car- which we dont have! Even with a roofbox and decent sized car! This may be an issue for you with 3 kids + dog.
However, we are thinking of upgrading to something like an Outwell Montana 6 (£399 or Hi-Gear Carado 6 £399 but due in the sale at £250 but not as good quality) just because I would like more space (but actually there is enough) and I would like a porch area and extension (this is all wants rather than needs I think!). I think size wise it would be OK for you and your kids. We zip open the bedroom and you could easily sleep an adult & 3 children and we have a sofa and loads of stuff in the living area no problem. I went to view a Montana 6 being sold by a family of 2 adults & 2 kids and they were downsizing to the oregon 5 as it was easier to put up and pack away. Its a real balance between bulk to pack and carry and time to put up. I can put up the oregon by myself (just). There is a utube of Yeomans man putting up montana by himself - so it is possible- though he does not have 3 children tearing around! I like the luxury of loads of space but have no idea how I am going to fit it in the car!
The lack of SIG does mean your dog will be able to escape from the living area (but not the bedrooms) and it is draughtier when cold but a relief when hot! We find out dog is staked outside during the day and sleeps in the bedroom at night. Or sometimes he likes to sit in the boot of the car.
Its all such a trade off! I imagine if you wanted to try it you could easily sell it on without losing anything/much and you wont get anything else decent for around that price. However, if you have loads of space in your car (like a big trailer or you drive a truck) and plenty of money I would get a tent with a SIG and maybe a little bigger
