I am looking at buying a 3-4 berth tent for weekend getaways and have been looking on the internet and there are just so many. I already have a Khyam Ontario 8 but this is just too big to pitch for just the one night. I have seen a few but the hh is only 2000 not 3000 and some dont have a sig which for me is a real must. I have been looking at the Vangos mainy the Orchy, Icarus and Venture but these only have 2000hh. Also stand up height would be good but not absolutely essential the room space is more important. I have also looked at the Outwell South Sea but this seems much smaller than any of the vango range. Any suggestions would be greatly received.
Thanks
Nicola

The Orchy is 3000 HH as are all the other Vango's. The Orchy is by far the better tent as it is a dome and tunnel design which makes for a more stable tent of this size. We have an Orchy 600 for weekend get aways and it has been excellent even in high winds and torrential rain. Not as easy to pitch as the Icarus being a dome but it can be done single handed in about 20 minutes inc guys.
Hope this helps

Thanks Gary that is a great help. I have seen a orchy 500 set up yesterday and it looked good but probably just a bit bigger than i need. I will have a look at the 400 on the internet.
I have the Ontario 8 too and bought the Easy Camp Licata 400 as a weekend tent. 2000hh rating is absolutley fine - I was told the recommended rating for this country is 1200-1500hh. The Licata has a good sized bedroom which can be divided with a curtain, large living area, SIG and standing height. It's very easy to pitch and I think it's a cracking little tent.
OutdoorAction have it on sale at the moment for £99.95 - BARGAIN!!!!
