We had to take our tent down in the gusty winds we were having today and the worst happened - the wind pulled the pegs out and the tent went flying across the field!  Fortunately we think the only damage is to the storm flaps on the porch (completely ripped off) and one of the tent poles was bent beyond repair.

Hopefully we will be able to get the storm flaps repaired locally, but I was wondering if anyone knows where we can get a new (red coded) curved pole from?  I found some pole sets online, but they just seem to be straight pole sets.

Any ideas gratefully received and also if anyone knows of a tent repair place in the Kent/Sussex area that would also be usefull!  Let's just hope that we don't find any more significant damage when we are able to put it up again if we get the new pole. 17

Thanks for any and all help with this.  Such a shame as we LOVE our new tent.

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

OMG,what a terrible thing to happen,i really feel for you.We did a practice pitch yesturday with our xxl, when we took it down it was windy,so we decided to drop the dome first,we took the legs out so the dome dropped and then released the tension on the other poles and worked our way round taking the straight sections off, that way at least all the curved poles weighted it down,if all that makes sense!

Have you been in touch with the retailer you bought it from? I`m sure you must be able to get replacements, though there  must have been some force to have to have bent those poles, they are so heavy, as long as no-one was hurt.

Wishing you luck in getting it sorted,it really is a fabulous tent!!!!!!!

Thanks Kazzy,

We were thinking of the best way to take it down when it just took off! Perhaps we should do it your way next time...
