Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Bought two really nice ones and in the end, started taking the quilts right off the beds, much better in our book., bags are sweaty lumps and the used twice bags are in the garage doing nothing......

Hi and welcome.....
The best advice I can give is to get the best bags possible within your budget, IMO the sleeping bags are the most important item of kit (next to the tent) when buying camping gear....
A branded (Vango , Coleman, Outwell ) bag will probably be your best bet but it is up to you which type (mummy or envelope/ double or single etc...)
It may be best to go for a 3 season one for warmth as even summer nights are chilly to some people!!!
Vango have a good range of kids bags (we use these) and come in different shapes and sizes.
Always take a couple of blankets too just in case.....
You are right to want to give consideration to the choice of sleeping bag; few things are worse than being cold at night. When you have made your choice you may wish to consider the following. One of my sons is a real reptile and feels the cold. As well as his sleeping bag (which is a good one) we've also got a silk (inner) liner and an over-bag. Both of these add 5 degrees Celsius of warmth to his bag. I got both of them from Decathlon but I'm sure that other places will have them. They are an inexpensive way of boosting the performance of a sleeping bag.
I got an army surplus 58 Pattern (LONG) sleeping bag for about £20. Probably too big if you are walking and camping but for car camping it's great, real down/feather, waterproof backing which is handy for kipping outside. It's super warm and there's loads of room in it.
