Hi all,
I am hoping someone may be able to help, whilst taking our montana 6 down at the weekend - two of the poles (one roof, and one side) were difficult to take apart and fold so I perhaps used a bit more brute force than necessary and pulled them apart - this has pulled what looks to be an elastic cord out on both.
Is this repairable, or do I need to invest in some new poles?
Cheers
Laurence

You should be able to repair with what you have and not need any new parts if you just pulled the elastic loose from the poles. The elastic ties onto a small metal spring clip in each end of the pole assembly. If you have some of the small 2 man tent plastic poles these should be able to fit inside the other larger poles to help you push the untied spring clip out. Then just retie and push back in from the opposite end with a thin pole.
If the elastic has snapped half way along then you might need a shock cord kit but from what you say (elastic pulled out rather than snapped) then you should be able to fix pretty easy.

I will try this tomorrow night, but feel I may have a problem with pushing a pole through the other end as the roof pole for the montana 6 is curved, and the side pole is straight except for the section that joins the roof poles (and unfortunatly this is the one that has gone on the side pole).
Any further advise would be appreciated, and if you have experience with the montana 6 please get back to me.
