thanks Skydog....the stitching seems okay...it overlaps in a number of places but its not the seams causing the problem...I am about to go and pitch it in the garden for another period of weathering...if no joy after that I will be returning it for a replacement...we love the tent and the layout,just not how much room it takes up and the lack of a wheelie bag like the Sunvalley we had briefly!
