Hello all :)

I am after a new tent, preferably for as cheap as poss under £100, so sale items and good old Ebay will be considered!!

It will be for predominantly festival camping, and will be for 2 of us plus a reasonable amount of kit, so at least a 4man upwards. We're both over 5'9" so it would be nice to be able to stand in the porch area at least, but the bedroom isn't such a big deal for headroom. It'd have to be one main bedroom as well, as I don't like the idea of my kit being in a separate area - we're seasoned festy-goers but when it comes to security of your belongings, you can never be too careful... :)

Our current tent is the Argos Sovreign 4 man, which we can stand in the porch area of and which is pretty good space/size wise. However it's a bit old and battered now, and I'd definitely love a replacement asap (given we're off to a festival next week especially!!). It's an ok tent but I don't want to replace it like-for-like as I've had a few problems with the poles buckling (thankfully not snapping though).

Any ideas? I feel like I've considered every tent out there - price and room are my major factors.....help!!!

Wynnster Shrike 6 ? A proven tent, standing height and well inside budget at £85.

We have a Shrike 5 and it is a good quality, dependable, practical, well ventilated tent that keeps the rain out! What's not to like?

The Vango Venture at £70 seems to be the way to go, really good value for a well made tent. Good standing height in porch and bedroom, roomy bedroom for two people and decent size porch. I wish I needed another tent at the moment!

Thanks for all your help everyone! I think i am going to go with the Vango, as although I said under £100 I am on a budget (aren;t we all!!). I'm taking a wee bit of a risk as I've found one on Ebay which I've offered £35 for. It's used - 3 times camping apparently - but I'm hoping it'll still be ok. I've asked about damage and so on, so fingers crossed it'll be ok and they'll be honest!!

Another vote for the Vango Venture from Go! here too. Sadly it's too big for my requirements but it's a brilliant tent (went to play with one at Go the other week) and at that price it's a billy bargain
